Well Hello World! I am trying my hand at a slightly less basic website template so it may take me a bit longer to get round to everyone in the group. Don’t worry – I will get there. I learned how to script CMS so I will sure as hec get this sorted. Who knows how long it will take though.
All Dean’s fault. He shows me how to do a simple load and I am off, forget the Citroen, I want the Bugatti. I blame that Alex Jeffries and this is staying here until I get this fantastic blog layout working and fit to show him.
This is my Christmas present to myself – I don’t like fairy lights and christmas trees but I love a challenge and with a group like this – it is going to be fun. You do the birdie dance, I will learn Revolution2.
I must thank Noah Fleming and his technicians at Rich-Jerks and the Kiva charity for making this blog available to me by letting me help others not so fortunate. Give to Kiva, they need it more than you need a pair of new socks (which the sock fairy will only steal).
I will get the archived posts up once I learn how, and the wonderful huge blogroll of our Magic Circle.

Hi Diane,
I see you have chosen the Revolution Lifestyle theme, as you may or may not have known, I also used a variation of this theme initially, however alex, suggested that I get more a standard blog look, as compared to the magazine style format of revolution. that being said – joe also uses a variation of the theme
Read your really interesting post over at Joe Truemans website about getting ranked no.1 in google and blogrolls. As well as confirming something i was told about linking sites that are hosted with the same server has no benefits at all. Really interested to know where you are posting your articles that have helped you get your rankings, as well, what other sites you have

I have 3 sites at No 1 in Google. They all have the same IP address and sit on the same server – talk about breaking the rules. They are all very very old sites, 8 years plus and that has something to do with it.
Did you know that if you buy a domain name for 1 year Google will not rank you as they don’t think you are going to be around long enough to make it worthwhile. 2 years minimum.
I have no idea how Revolution works but I am looking forward to finding out. At least I am managing to post on it.

I just read y0our cohntroversial post on the F500 and I’m so glad you think the same way I do but have experience to back it up. I find you inspiring and I would love to meet you. Are you in the UK ? I am.
You hinted that health may have stopped you working anywhere but at home so we have that in common but you sound so far ahead of me technically. I used to be very technical and had a successful career until I had to give it up. I want to make it again abd you sound like a fabulous example to follow.
I have around 40 other sites over 6 hosts (5 were boought as a package) but have not spent time driving traffic as I don’t think the content i good enough.
I will now dd a comment to your F500 poat.

I have worked from home since 2000 and my illness decided to go the whole hog in about 2004. I had a few problems but they were properly diagnosed after I suffered an invisible tooth abscess for nearly 4 years which has taken 18 months to get over. I have just dragged myself out of bed at noon and I will be back in bed by abut 11.00 pm. It drives me mad but I am almost totally pain free – I have a choice and I hate pain. This I think is it. But I am able to type and get on with life.
I will only be going back to the UK if I have to. Not a place I like very much. I have done a lot of travelling and our aim for me doing this work is to go to Vietnam – It is all Clarkson’s fault and his TV program.
We are a weird family, my husband was told he would never walk again in 2000 and we are living in the most fantastic barn in France that he took from a shell and made with help into a huge playground for 2 pensioners. It is like having the biggest tree house in the world. He has spinal problems but unlike the UK has had 30 sessions of physio this year. We were not able to get any in the UK till our GP organised a sports centre to get help. We paid a Chiropractor for the magic that got him mobile. He has fallen through the floor here and showed me his bruises and carried on. He does have a bad session a couple of times a year but I nurse him back to health.
I am still totally confused by the course. I refuse to jump around saying ‘wonderful’, ‘marvellous’ when I don’t have the faintest idea what being associated with AJ is going to do for me.
I have 3 wonderful co-owners of a website for experienced Virtual Assistants. We have done all the work for free and people in our business want to be associated with us. We charge for nothing.
I have a website for newbie home workers (since 2004), there are over 4000 members and guess what, it is all free but I do make adsense money – enough to keep it going. I am changing the direction of that site slightly as it is the marketing that kills many people.
I suppose we did not need the money till now (mind we had to order 2 more loads of wood last week, wondered where the money was coming from and I won two £50 on Ernie – that was a shock and goes some great way towards it).
We also offer to build a site where we charge for hosting and marketing advice for VA’s and they get a bespoke website and domain name in the package which we pay for. I have qualifications as a designers and I am a techie person so every one hand written for the site owner..
I am now learning how to do blogs properly. I have read the revenge of the Mininet. It is free to anyone who wants it (it was nearly $80). It shows how and what we are doing wrong, even though it uses sites and blogs. I am also reading an Alex Edvane’ MOLB book and the VRE handbook (which covers WordPress alone). They all say the same thing about Google , IP addresses etc. They give a totally different way of writing blogs. You write a whole years content, autoresponder content etc with affiliate links using a set of PLR articles. It is the linking they go on about.
I could go on as I have a system for this. It costs a little but saves a lot of time. If you want to contact me, mail di . chapman @ aliceadsl . fr (taking the spaces out). I have free worldwide calls so we could have a chat.

Just thought I’d point out – as this particular page is about your new blog theme – that it isn’t rendering quite properly in IE 6.0.2, which is what I still use in preference to IE 7. Your right sidebar does not line up correctly – it drops below the posting area as if it was just a little too wide to fit in the area originally alloted to it (would a screenshot benefit you?). Usually this is a problem with an image that might be a little too wide for the sidebar space…you have a lot of images in your sidebar and maybe you can find the time to downsize them a bit to make them fit and get your sidebar up alongside your posts where it belongs! At least, I hope it’s that easy a fix…
